The mornings on work days are usually chaotic, and the last thing you would want is to spend hours in the kitchen and prepare breakfast. So, in just 15 minutes, you can make a healthy serving of suji upma.
1 cup suji 3 cups water 1/2 tablespoon ghee 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds 1 teaspoon urad dal 1 teaspoon chana dal 10-12 cashew nuts 1 onion 1 green chilli 1 teaspoon grated ginger 8-10 curry leaves Salt to taste Coriander leaves for garnishing
Dry roast the suji for about three to four minutes and set it aside.
Take some ghee, add mustard seeds and let them splutter. Add urad dal and chana dal and fry.
Add chopped cashew nuts, curry leaves, green chilli, and grated ginger, and saute them.
Mix in chopped onions. Add water and salt and stir till the suji absorbs water.
Once the suji upma is of the desired consistency, garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
