Suji dosa is very easy to make and is also a very healthy breakfast option for days when you don’t have time. It is often served with a variety of chutneys.
½ cup suji or semolina ½ cup rice flour 2 tablespoons maida Oil as needed 2 green chillies, chopped ½ teaspoon ginger paste 1 pinch asafoetida ½ teaspoon cumin seeds ¼ teaspoon black pepper powder Salt as needed Water as needed
In a bowl, mix suji, rice flour, maida, asafoetida and pepper powder. As you mix, add water gradually until the batter is very thin. Let it rest for 10-15 minutes.
Add green chillies, ginger paste and cumin seeds.
Heat the tawa or pan on a medium flame. Pour the batter slowly. Spread the batter into a circle.
Oil the edges while the suji dosa batter cooks. Cook until both sides are crisp and golden.
Serve hot and crispy suji dosas with coconut chutney, tomato chutney or coriander chutney.
