Instant South Indian Dosa: Quick Recipe For Breakfast

Instant dosa is a quick and easy alternative to traditional dosa, perfect for busy mornings or sudden cravings. It is made without fermenting the batter and pairs wonderfully with sambar and chutney. Click to find out the step-by-step recipe

Ingredients

1 cup semolina ½ cup rice flour ¼ cup all-purpose flour 1 cup yoghurt ½ tsp cumin seeds 2 finely chopped green chillies 1 tbsp grated ginger 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves ½ cup water (adjust as needed) Salt to taste Oil for greasing

Step 1

Take a mixing bowl, mix semolina, rice flour, all-purpose flour, salt, then add curd, and water gradually to form a smooth batter and let it rest for 10 – 15 minutes.

Step 2

Mix in the cumin seeds, green chillies, ginger, coriander leaves, to the batter and adjust consistency if needed.

Step 3

Heat a non-stick pan and grease it with oil.

Step 4

Pour the batter onto the tawa and spread into a thin circle, adding a few drops of oil around the edges.

Step 5

Cook until the bottom turns golden and crispy and serve it with sambar or chutney.
