Instant rava idli is the recipe you need to satisfy your hunger pangs without spending hours in the kitchen or ordering a bulk load of food online. You need 10 minutes for preparation and 15 minutes of cooking time. And you are left with soft and spongy, delicious idli.
2 cups rava 1 cup curd 2 cups water Salt to taste 1 tbsp fruit salt 1 tbsp oil 1 tsp chana, urad dal 7-8 curry leaves 1 tsp mustard seeds A pinch of turmeric 1 tsp red chilli powder
Mix rava, curd, and water in a large bowl. Keep it aside for a while.
After 10 minutes, check the consistency, and add more water if needed.
Prepare the tempering and pour it over the batter, and stir again.
Pour this batter into greased idli moulds.
Cook the idli for 15-20 minutes and remove them from the moulds.
Serve the idli with ketchup, spreads, and coconut chutney.
