If you’re planning to celebrate India’s 80th Independence Day at home, here are some tricolour food ideas. From tricolour idlis to tiranga sandwich, these are easy-to-create dishes and perfect for a themed spread
Make three batches of idlis of orange, white, and green colours. Arrange them as the national flag and celebrate Independence Day.
Rice is a versatile ingredient which can be infused with different colours to resemble the tricolour. With spinach and carrot-infused rice, you can make pulao.
Marinate the paneer cubes in different colours, like saffron and spinach puree. Grill and serve tricolour paneer tikka.
Take three slices of bread and spread orange and green colour chutney between them for a tricolour sandwich.
For a tricolour dessert, you can layer green, white, and orange layers of cream or fruit to make a parfait.
