Dahi Tadka is a flavourful yoghurt-based dish made with aromatic spices. It is a comfort food for North Indians and makes for a perfect light meal if consumed with rice or roti, especially during summers.
2 cups whisked yoghurt 1/2 tsp salt (adjust to taste) 1/4 tsp sugar 1 tbsp oil or ghee 1/2 tsp mustard seeds 1/2 tsp cumin seeds 2-3 finely chopped garlic cloves 1-2 dried red chillies 1/4 tsp hing 5-6 curry leaves 1/4 tsp turmeric powder 1/2 tsp red chilli powder 1 tbsp chopped fresh coriander leaves
Whisk the yoghurt with salt and sugar
Heat oil, splutter mustard seeds, add cumin, garlic, red chillies, curry leaves and spices, stir until the garlic turns golden.
Then add hing, turmeric powder, and red chilli powder, mix well and turn off the heat.
Pour tadka over the yoghurt
Garnish with coriander!
