Protein Rich Sattu Roti Recipe For A Hearty And Satisfying Meal

Sattu roti is a traditional, high-protein flatbread that’s both filling and full of taste. It’s usually served with chutney or curd and keeps you full for hours. This version is made with minimal effort and basic ingredients.

Ingredients

1 cup wheat flour ¼ cup sattu (roasted chana flour) 1 green chilli (finely chopped) ½ tsp ajwain Salt to taste ½ inch ginger (grated) Fresh coriander (chopped) Warm water for kneading Ghee or oil for cooking

Step 1

Mix wheat flour, sattu, salt, ginger, green chilli, coriander, and ajwain in a bowl.

Step 2

Add water little by little and knead into a soft, smooth dough. Let it rest for 10 minutes.

Step 3

Divide the dough into equal parts. Roll each one into a medium-sized roti.

Step 4

Heat a tawa and place the roti on it. Cook on both sides with ghee or oil till brown spots appear.

Step 5

Serve warm with curd, pickle, or green chutney for a satisfying meal.
