Panner is a staple ingredient in all Indian households. Whether you’re making paneer from scratch at home or buying it from a dairy, if not stored properly, it can dry and spoil quickly. Follow these tips to keep it fresh.
To keep the paneer moist, store it in a bowl of filtered water before refrigeration or cooking.
If the paneer is already soft, you can wrap it in a damp muslin or cotton cloth to retain moisture.
Keep the paneer in an airtight container before refrigeration to avoid the risk of spoilage.
Don’t leave paneer on your kitchen counter. Refrigerate immediately to maintain freshness.
Before you use paneer for cooking, soak it in warm water for about ten minutes, and it’ll be softer.
