There are only a few ingredients needed for this simple pasta dish, and you are free to include a protein as well. This recipe is easy and very simple to follow.
8 ounces spaghetti Salt, to taste 3 large garlic cloves ¼ cup olive oil ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes Zest of 1 lemon Chopped parsley, for garnish
Bring water in a big pot to a boil. Use a lot of salt while seasoning. Add the spaghetti and cook it.
Meanwhile, slice the garlic very thin. Add the olive oil, garlic, and red pepper flakes to a big skillet.
Cook the garlic for about 3–4 minutes over medium-low heat, or until it's tender but not browned.
Keep ¾ cup of the pasta's boiling liquid aside. Drained pasta can be added to the skillet's oil along with the lemon zest and cooking water.
Mix everything by tossing. Add more red pepper flakes and parsley as garnish. Serve hot!
