For home bakers looking to try something new, the Bonfire dessert brings gooey chocolate, toasted marshmallow and a spoonful of comfort right to your plate!
1 cup digestive biscuits/graham crackers, crushed 3 tbsp melted butter 1 tbsp brown sugar ½ cup dark chocolate, chopped ¼ cup cream 6–8 large marshmallows 2 scoops fior di latte/vanilla ice cream
Mix crushed biscuits with melted butter and brown sugar. Toast in a pan or oven for 5–7 mins until golden and crisp. Set aside.
Prepare the hot chocolate base. Heat cream and pour over chopped chocolate. Stir into a smooth, glossy ganache.
In a serving dish or skillet, layer the warm graham crumble at the bottom. Pour the hot chocolate ganache over.
Toast the marshmallows. Use a blowtorch for that classic char or bake at 200°C for 3–5 mins till golden and gooey.
Top with toasted marshmallows and a scoop of fior di latte.
Add a pinch of sea salt to the crumble for contrast. Want it extra luxe? Drizzle salted caramel on top!
