Garlic bread is always popular, especially on the weekends. Instead of frying it, steaming it can be fun and a better alternative. Here is the recipe to try it out.
½ cup warm water 1 ½ tsp sugar 1 ½ tsp active dry yeast 2 cups all-purpose flour ½ tsp pizza seasoning ½ tsp salt 1 tsp garlic paste ¼ cup fresh coriander, chopped 1 tbsp oil ¼ cup + 2 tbsp water 1 tsp butter ½ cup milk 1 cheese cube or 2 cheese slices Salt to taste
Add yeast after combining sugar and warm water. Cover and activate until foamy, 10 to 15 minutes.
In a bowl, combine flour, pizza seasoning, salt, garlic paste, coriander, and oil. To make a dough, add water and the yeast mixture.
Knead for 12–15 minutes until soft and smooth. Knead gently once more after adding the butter.
Cover and let the dough rest for 1 hour or until it doubles in size. Dough should be divided into two to three pieces.
Then, it needs to be rolled into sheets, cut into strips, and shaped as needed.
The formed bread should be baked and softened after 15 minutes of steaming over medium-high heat.
Heat the butter, add the flour, and simmer for one to two minutes to make the sauce. Whisk in the cheese and milk until smooth. Serve with steamed garlic bread.
