As the name suggests, shahi tukda is a royal dessert that is sure to add a luxurious touch to the festivities. To make it at home this festive season, you can follow these six easy steps.
4 bread slices 1 litre milk 1 cup sugar 1 cup water Oil for frying 3 cardamoms 1/2 teaspoon rose water Chopped nuts Saffron for garnishing
Take the bread slices and cut them into equal squares or triangles.
Deep fry the bread pieces till they are crunchy and golden brown, and set aside.
Then, take the milk and let it simmer till it thickens.
Add sugar, cardamom, and rose water to make a perfect rabri.
Coat the fried bread pieces with sugar syrup. Add it to the rabri.
Garnish with chopped nuts and saffron, and enjoy.
