How To Make Roast Sweet Peppers For A Quick Side Dish

Sweet peppers turn beautifully soft and lightly charred in the oven, making this easy roast sweet peppers recipe perfect for salads, wraps, rice bowls, or quick snack platters with a garlicky, herby flavour in every bite.

Ingredients

3 sliced sweet peppers 2 tbsp olive oil 4 sliced garlic cloves 1 tsp chilli flakes 1 tsp oregano Salt as required Black pepper as required

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 220°C and spread sliced sweet peppers on a baking tray.

Step 2

Add olive oil, garlic, chilli flakes, oregano, salt, and black pepper then toss well.

Step 3

Roast for 18 to 20 minutes until the peppers turn soft and slightly charred.

Step 4

Flip the peppers halfway through roasting for even cooking.

Step 5

Serve hot with grilled dishes, toasted bread, or pasta.
