Kashmiri pulao is a flavourful and rich dish cooked with dry fruits and flavoured with saffron and whole spices. This is a quick and easy recipe you can make in 30 minutes.
1 cup of basmati rice Dry fruits as required 1 teaspoon of black cardamom 4 green cardamoms 1 teaspoon of raisins 4 cloves 1 cinnamon stick A few strands of saffron ¼ cup of milk Salt as required Chopped cherries, pineapples 3 tablespoons of ghee
Soak and wash the basmati rice for half an hour.
Add whole spices such as cloves, cardamom, and cinnamon to a pan of heated ghee.
Add the soaked rice and cook for a short while.
Add the saffron threads, water, and salt.
Cover the pan and cook over low heat until the flavours are integrated and the rice is cooked.
Before serving, garnish with cherries and pineapples.
