A classic Italian condiment, pesto sauce blends fresh basil, garlic, pine nuts, olive oil, and parmesan into a rich, aromatic paste. Creamy and flavourful, it pairs beautifully with pasta, sandwiches, salads, or as a dip.
2 cups fresh basil leaves ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese ½ cup olive oil ⅓ cup pine nuts 3 garlic cloves ½ tsp salt ¼ tsp black pepper
Wash and pat dry fresh basil leaves.
Add basil, pine nuts, garlic cloves, and parmesan to a blender.
Pulse until it gets coarsely ground.
Then, slowly drizzle in olive oil while blending it to make a smooth paste.
Season with salt and black pepper, then store or serve fresh.
