Paneer lababdar is one of the most popularly ordered dish at a typical North Indian restaurant. Paneer cubes cooked in a spiced tomato-based gravy, the dish can be enjoyed with naan, rice, or paratha.
250 g paneer 2 tomatoes 1 onion 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste 2 tbsp butter 1 tbsp oil ½ tsp turmeric powder 1 tsp red chilli powder 1 tsp coriander powder ½ tsp garam masala 2 tbsp fresh cream 1 tbsp cashew paste (optional) Salt to taste Fresh coriander for garnish
Heat oil and butter in a pan. Sauté onions until golden brown.
Add ginger-garlic paste and stir in tomato puree. Cook until the oil separates.
Add turmeric, chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well.
Add cashew paste and a little water to form a smooth gravy, and toss in cubed paneer.
Stir in fresh cream, garnish with coriander leaves, and serve hot.
