Fish kabiraji is a popular Bengali street food dish made with fish fillets coated in a crispy batter and deep-fried to perfection. It is served with a tangy kasundi sauce and is a favourite among seafood lovers.
500 grams of fish fillets 1 teaspoon of salt ½ teaspoon of turmeric powder 1 tablespoon of lemon juice 1 cup of all-purpose flour 1 egg and ½ teaspoon of salt ½ teaspoon of red chilli powder Oil, as needed Kasundi, for serving
Use salt, turmeric, and lemon juice to marinate the fish fillets.
In a mixing bowl. Crack open the egg. Add the flour, salt and spices.
Whisk it into a watery batter.
Place the fish fillets in the batter. Coat them properly.
Heat oil in a pot, deep-fry fish fillets until golden brown. Enjoy the hot dish with kasundi sauce!
