Kada Prasad, or atte ka halwa, is traditionally served in all Gurudwaras and in most Punjabi homes. To make the desi ghee-laden kada prasad, you can follow this authentic Punjabi recipe and serve.
1 cup atta 1/2 cup ghee 1 cup sugar 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder 1/2 cup water Chopped nuts for garnish
Heat some ghee and roast atta till golden brown and fragrant.
Add sugar and stir well. Gradually mix water and mix till it thickens.
Once the water is absorbed, add the cardamom powder. Turn off the flame.
Garnish with chopped nuts and serve the kada prasad.
