Hummus, originating from the Middle East, is a high-protein dip. Made with chickpeas, tahini, and lemon juice, hummus can be used as a healthier alternative to mayonnaise in sandwiches, wraps, salads, etc.
400g chickpeas 2 tablespoons tahini 2 tablespoons lemon juice 1 garlic clove, minced 2 tablespoons olive oil 2-3 tablespoons water Salt to taste
Add the chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, olive oil, and salt to a food processor.
Blend until smooth. Add water to get the desired consistency.
Transfer the hummus to a bowl and drizzle some olive oil.
Serve the protein-rich dip with pita bread, chips, or chopped veggies.
