Jalebi is a spiral-shaped crisp & juicy sweet snack popular across India. This recipe will give you the best jalebis that you can make during any festive occasion in under 30 minutes.
1 cup of all-purpose flour 2 tablespoons of corn flour ½ cup curd ½ cup water ½ teaspoon of baking soda 2 teaspoons of lemon juice Ghee as needed 1 cup sugar Water as need for the dough 1 pinch of saffron ¼ teaspoon cardamom powder
In a bowl, mix all-purpose flour, yoghurt, and water to make a smooth batter.
Let the batter ferment for a few hours or overnight.
Heat oil in a pan and pour the batter into a squeeze bottle or a piping bag.
Squeeze the batter in a spiral shape into the hot oil and fry until golden brown.
Remove the jalebis from the oil and soak them in sugar syrup for a few minutes.
Serve jalebis hot or at room temperature.
