Coconut barfi often uses sugar and condensed milk. To take refined sugar out of the recipe, here’s how to make the traditional Indian sweet with jaggery. Just follow these steps and please your sweet tooth.
2 cups grated coconut 1 cup grated jaggery 2 tbsp ghee 1/4 tsp cardamom powder 2 tbsp milk Chopped nuts for garnish
Heat some ghee in a pan and add grated jaggery. Stir till it melts.
Mix in the grated coconut and cook on a low flame.
Add cardamom powder and milk, and mix till everything is well combined.
Spread the mixture on a greased tray. Let it cool.
Garnish with chopped nuts, cut into desired shapes and serve.
