Some chocolate desserts are all about unapologetic indulgence. This French dessert, Chocolate Pots De Crème (pots of cream), is indeed one of them. Made with some of the simplest ingredients, this dense, smooth, and melt-in-the-mouth dessert is a must-try. Here’s the recipe to follow.
¾ cup high-quality dark chocolate 2 cups heavy cream 3 egg yolks 3 tablespoons sugar 1/8 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Chop the chocolate finely and keep it aside.
In a saucepan, mix cream, egg yolks, sugar, and salt over a medium heat. Keep whisking until the mixture is thick.
Pour the mixture into the blender along with the chocolate and vanilla. Blend it until smooth.
Divide the smooth mixture into individual ramekins and refrigerate for 6-8 hours or until set.
Before serving, let the ramekins come to room temperature. Serve them with a dollop of whipped cream on top.
