Whether you’re a home baker or just someone with a sweet tooth, you must often be looking for baked recipes. Moving beyond cakes and cookies, try this mouth-melting chocolate pie recipe at home.
For The Pie Crust: 1.5 cups maida 1/2 cup butter 4 tablespoons cold water Pinch of salt For The Chocolate Filling: 2.5 cups milk 6 egg yolks 6 tablespoons butter 1/3 cup powdered sugar 2 tablespoons cornstarch 1 cup chopped chocolate .5 teaspoons vanilla extract
Whisk flour, butter, cold water, and salt till you get a consistent dough.
Transfer the dough to a baking pan and bake for about 15 minutes. Set aside.
Prepare the chocolate filling by mixing milk, sugar, and cornstarch in a pan.
Then, whisk in egg yolks over medium heat till the mixture thickens.
Turn off the heat and add butter, chocolate, and vanilla extract till smooth.
Pour the filling into the pie crust and refrigerate for at least three hours before serving.
