Caramel custard is a smooth, melt-in-the-mouth dessert made with milk, sugar, and eggs, topped with a rich golden caramel. It’s a timeless classic enjoyed both chilled and warm.
½ cup sugar (for caramel) 2 cups milk 3 eggs ¼ cup sugar (for custard) 1 tsp vanilla essence
Melt ½ cup sugar in a pan until golden brown and pour into a mould to form the caramel base.
Whisk eggs, sugar, milk, and vanilla essence together until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
Pour the custard mixture over the caramel and cover the mould with foil.
Steam or bake in a water bath for 30–35 minutes, cool completely, and unmould before serving.
