It is believed that bubble tea made its first appearance in Asia in the 1980s. Taiwanese tea was picked up as a post-work drink, and was also popular in hang-out places.
1 cup milk Tea leaves, as needed Ice 1 cup black tapioca pearl ¼ cup brown sugar Water as needed
Boil tapioca pearls as per package instructions. In a separate saucepan, make a sugar syrup.
Drain the tapioca pearls. Add it to the sugar syrup. Let it soak.
Brew tea leaves to make tea. Let the tea cool down.
Pour the tapioca pearls into tall glasses. Add some ice.
Pour the tea over it. Then add the milk as you need. Serve.
You can use matcha, herbal, or fruity teas, which can all taste great. For an added creamy sweetness, you can add condensed milk.
