Tosha is a sweet flour roll and a traditional Bengali dessert that is loved for its softness and fluff. These rolls are made with flour, sugar, ghee, and milk to form a smooth dough. Here’s a quick and simple recipe you can follow!
2 cups of flour ¼ cup of sugar 2 tablespoons of ghee ½ cup of milk Cooking oil as needed Water as required ½ teaspoon of cardamom powder 2 teaspoons of rose water
Make a dough by kneading flour, sugar, ghee and milk in a bowl.
Roll the dough out into thin disc shapes.
In a cooking pot, heat some oil and fry the discs till they reach a golden colour.
Make the sugar syrup and let it cool. Add the rose water and cardamom powder.
Soak the rolls in the sugar syrup for 10-15 minutes.
Take tosha mithai out of the pot and serve at room temperature.
