Bengalis love prawns. One such prawn dish is chingri macher bhorta, which tastes terrific with warm steamed rice. Here is a step-by-step recipe for you to follow.
200g of prawn 2 large onions 3-4 dried red chillies 1-2 green chillies 4-5 garlic cloves 1 tbsp mustard oil Salt, as needed
Heat oil in a pan and cook the dried chillies. Fry the prawns till red.
Then add the onion, crushed garlic, green chillies, and salt to taste.
Stir until the onion softens. Cool the mixture. Add to the mixer grinder. Pulse the mixture. Leave a few chunky.
With a little mustard oil in your palms, form spherical balls. Add salt, if needed.
Serve chingri bhorta with steamed rice and a bit of mustard oil drizzle.
