Fish fry is among the easiest and most delicious snacks you can prepare if you have done the preparation. Though the dish cannot be prepared in a jiffy, all the effort that goes into making it is worth it. The next time you decide to cook fish fry, make it in Andhra-style.

Ingredients

1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste 2 fish pieces marinated for 8 hours 1-2 tablespoon ghee 8-10 curry leaves 1 teaspoon red chilli powder ¼ teaspoon black pepper powder Salt to taste 1 teaspoon garam masala

Step 1

Make tamarind base marination and soak the fish pieces in it overnight or for at least 6-8 hours. This will tenderise the meat.

Step 2

Apply salt over the fish and drain it thoroughly. It will ensure that the meat is clean.

Step 3

In ghee, make a paste of red chilli powder, garam masala, ginger garlic paste, and black pepper powder. Rub it on the fish and keep it aside.

Step 4

Heat a pan and add ghee or oil to it. Add fish to it. Wait for one side to cook and turn brown.

Step 5

Flip the meat pieces to cook the other side. You can add a few fresh curry leaves at this stage to add more flavour.

Step 6

Once both sides are done, serve Andhra-style fish fry with pickled onions and beverages of your choice.
