Chicken tikka recipe coats tender chicken pieces in a spiced yoghurt marinade that turns smoky and juicy once roasted. Inspired by tandoor classics, it delivers bold flavour, charred edges, and a crave-worthy appetiser for dinner spreads.
500 g boneless chicken cubes ½ cup thick curd 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp lemon juice 1 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder ½ tsp turmeric powder 1 tsp garam masala 1 tbsp mustard oil Salt to taste
Mix curd, spices, lemon juice, oil, and salt to form a thick marinade.
Add boneless chicken cubes, coat well and let it rest for at least 1 hour.
Thread chicken onto skewers or place on a lined tray.
Roast at 220°C for 15-18 minutes, flipping it once so it cooks evenly.
Serve hot with onion rings, mint chutney, and a squeeze of lemon.
