Even though they are a healthy supplement to any diet year-round, many people forget about dry fruits when summer rolls around. Although dry fruits are generally healthy, eating them uncooked in hot weather might cause some unpleasant side effects. But if you only tweak a few things, you can still savour these healthy treats without any discomfort.

Walnuts

Walnuts, rich in iron, calcium, copper, and omega-3 fatty acids, are best soaked overnight before consumption in the summer to mitigate their heating effect on the body.

Figs

Due to their warming characteristics, figs are typically eaten in the winter. However, they may also be enjoyed in moderation during the summer. If you want to get all the benefits from figs without getting too hot, consume no more than two each day.

Almonds

Raw almonds, although healthy, might make you feel even hotter. To avoid this and enjoy a cold and delicious snack during the heat, soak almonds overnight.

Raisins

Despite its many health benefits, raisins have the potential to raise the body temperature. If you want to eat raisins in the summer without discomfort, soak them the night before.
