Pull-apart garlic bread is meant to be shared and eaten warm. Instead of slicing the bread fully, deep cuts allow the butter, garlic and cheese to soak inside. This way every piece tastes evenly seasoned, not just the surface.
1 round or oval bread loaf 4 tbsp unsalted butter, softened 4–5 garlic cloves, finely chopped 2 tbsp chopped parsley or coriander Salt to taste ½ cup grated mozzarella or mixed cheese
Mix butter, garlic, herbs and salt until evenly combined.
Cut the bread in a deep criss-cross pattern without slicing through the base.
Push the garlic butter into the cuts and add cheese in between.
Wrap loosely in foil and bake at 180°C for 15 minutes.
Open the foil and bake another 5 minutes until lightly golden.
