Homemade Steamed Momos Recipe To Enjoy On Rainy Evenings

Juicy steamed momos are a popular and delicious dumpling dish, filled with a spicy mixture of vegetables or meat and steamed to perfection, making for a delightful snack or meal.


For The Dough: 2 cups all-purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon salt Water (as needed)


For The Filling: 1 cup of chopped cabbage 1 cup chopped carrots 1/2 cup chopped onions 1/2 cup chopped spring onions 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 inch ginger, minced 1-2 green chillies, finely chopped (optional) 2 tablespoons of soy sauce 1 tablespoon of oil Salt and pepper to taste

Step 1

Mix flour and salt. Add water to form a smooth dough. Cover and set aside.

Step 2

Heat oil and sauté garlic and ginger. Add cabbage, carrots, onions, and spring onions. Cook well; add soy sauce, salt, and pepper.

Step 3

Roll the dough into small circles. Place the filling in the centre and fold the edges to seal.

Step 4

Place the momos in a steamer basket. Steam for 10–12 minutes until translucent.

Step 5

Let momos cool slightly. Serve hot with dipping sauce.
