Homemade North Indian Dry Moong Dal Recipe To Try In Summers

Dry Moong Dal is a simple yet flavourful dish made with roasted and cooked yellow split lentils, zesty spices and aromatic tempering. It is ideal for rice, roti or a wholesome snack.

Ingredients

1 cup dry-roasted and cooked moong dal 1 tbsp oil/ghee 1 tsp mustard seeds 1 tsp cumin seeds 2-3 slit green chillies 1 chopped onion 1 sprig curry leaves ½ tsp turmeric powder Salt to taste 2 tbsp grated coconut (optional) 1 tbsp coriander leaves

Step 1

Roast and cook the moong dal until it is soft but firm.

Step 2

Temper mustard, cumin, chillies, curry leaves and onion in oil.

Step 3

Add dal, turmeric, salt and mix it well.

Step 4

Garnish with coconut and coriander
