There is something comforting and soothing about fresh cookies with a warm evening cup of chai or coffee. Homemade chocolate chip cookies are warm, freshly baked, and a bit crispy on the edges. Perfect to have with tea and conversations over snack time. They are easy to bake and even easier to enjoy, making tea time a delicious celebration.
1 ½ cup maida 100 gram softened butter 1 cup powdered sugar ¼ cup brown sugar 2 tbsp milk 1 tsp vanilla essence ½ tsp baking powder 1 tsp baking soda 3 cup chocolate chips 1 tsp salt
Preheat the oven to 180°C, and get a baking tray lined up.
Mix the butter with brown and white sugar until it is fluffy.
Add in the milk and vanilla essence and give it a good mix.
Sieve maida, baking powder, baking soda and salt into a separate bowl.
Take the dry ingredients and gently fold them into your butter mixture.
Now add chocolate chips evenly.
Scoop out the dough, roll it into little balls, and flatten them just a bit.
Put them in the oven for 12 to 15 minutes or till the edges get golden brown.
Once they are done, let them cool off a bit before serving.
