For a high-protein snack with your tea and coffee, these butterfly paneer buns will be a great addition.
2 cups all-purpose flour 1 tsp instant yeast 1 tbsp sugar ½ tsp salt 2 tbsp butter or oil ¾ cup warm milk 200g paneer 1 small onion, chopped 1 green chilli, chopped 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste ½ tsp red chilli powder ¼ tsp turmeric powder ½ tsp garam masala 1 tbsp ketchup Salt to taste 1 tsp oil Coriander leaves, chopped
Combine flour, yeast, sugar, and salt in a mixing dish. Combine warm milk and butter.
Knead into a soft dough for 8-10 minutes. Cover and let it rise for an hour, or until doubled.
Heat the oil in a pan. Add the onions and sauté until tender. Add the ginger-garlic paste and green chillies.
Mix in the spices and paneer. Add ketchup or Szechuan sauce. Cook for 2 minutes, then cool completely.
Divide the dough into equal balls. Roll each one into an oval shape. Place the paneer filling in the centre.
Fold and squeeze the edges together. Using a knife, make incisions on both sides but not into the centre.
Twist gently to achieve the butterfly-wing appearance. Bake for 15 18-20 minutes. Serve!
