Planning a Holi party? Along with colours, splashes and music, you have to serve snacks that are easy to eat and have a festive spirit. These quick bites are ideal for enjoying in between laughter and photos.
Fill crisp puris (the ones used in pani puri) and fill them with potatoes, yoghurt, chutneys, and sev. They are bite-sized and can be eaten mess-free, perfect for festive Holi celebrations.
Mash the boiled peas with basic spices, shape them into patties, and shallow-fry until they appear golden from both sides. They are crisp from the outside, soft from within.
Slice the paneer and dip it in spiced gram flour batter, and then fry it sizzling hot. Serve it straight off the kadhai with tangy chutney or tomato ketchup for a mouthwatering experience.
These are crunchy, salted diamond-shaped bites that are prepared by mixing maida and carom seeds. Fry them in batches and store in an airtight box, and they disappear quickly by the time you serve thandai.
Toss some boiled sweet corn with onions, tomatoes, lemon juice, and a sprinkle of chaat masala. Serve them in small cups for an easy, no-mess snacking.
Make mini versions of these festive favourites, stuffed with mawa and dry fruits. They are bite-sized and sufficiently satisfying to enjoy without feeling too heavy.
