High-Protein Moong Dal Tikki: Whip Up A Crispy Evening Snack

Snacks don’t have to be high in calories. To make a protein-rich snack, you can whip up moong dal ki tikki. Instead of deep frying or shallow frying, you can even air fry the tikkis to make them guilt-free.

Ingredients

1 cup moong dal 1 onion 1-2 green chillies 1 inch of ginger 2-3 cloves garlic 1/4 cup coriander leaves 1/2 tsp cumin powder 1/2 tsp coriander powder 1/4 tsp turmeric powder 1/2 tsp chaat masala 2 tbsp besan Salt to taste Oil for cooking

Step 1

Rinse and soak moong dal for at least 3-4 hours.

Step 2

Drain and grind it with green chillies, ginger, and garlic.

Step 3

Mix in chopped onion, coriander, besan, and all the spices. Make patties with the mixture.

Step 4

Shallow fry or air fry the tikkis as per your preference.

Step 5

Once crispy, serve with a spicy chutney.
