High-Protein Dal Chilla For A Nutritious Snack Or Breakfast

Usually made with urad dal and chana dal, chilla is a high-protein snack or breakfast option that can be quickly whipped up. To make a healthy meal in under fifteen minutes, here’s a recipe.

Ingredients

1 cup urad dal 1/2 cup chana dal 1/4 cup rice 1/4 cup chopped coriander 1/4 cup chopped green chilli 1 teaspoon cumin powder 1 teaspoon garam masala 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon salt Water, as needed

Step 1

Rinse and soak urad dal, chana dal, and rice. Grind them to make a smooth batter.

Step 2

Add chopped coriander, green chilli, and all the spices. Mix well.

Step 3

Gradually add water to get the desired consistency.

Step 4

Pour a ladleful of batter on a pan, spread it in a circle, and cook on both sides.

Step 5

Once crispy, serve the chilla with your favourite chutney.
