Chane or chickpeas are a great source of protein. If you are looking for a chatpata evening snack that is both savoury and healthy, chana chaat is the best option. Make it yourself in just five easy steps.
1 cup soaked chickpeas 1 teaspoon cumin 1 teaspoon oil 1 ginger 1 green chilli 1 onion 1 tomato 1 teaspoon coriander powder 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves 1/4 cup sev 1 tablespoon lemon juice Chaat masala to taste Salt to taste
Take the soaked chickpeas, add water, and cook them in a pressure cooker for about 20 minutes.
Heat some oil and add saute cumin seeds, grated ginger, and chopped green chilli.
Add chopped onion, coriander powder, red chilli powder, and turmeric powder and mix well.
Mix in the cooked chickpeas and add salt to taste.
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves, lemon juice, chaat masala, and sev. Serve.
