Skip the frying process and relish these healthy veg kababs that can be made in an air fryer easily. Filled with colourful vegetables, oats, and paneer, they are crispy from the outside and soft from within, making them perfect to have as evening snacks or also as party appetisers.
1 cup boiled mixed vegetables (carrot, beans, peas) 1 medium potato, boiled and mashed ½ cup paneer, grated ¼ cup rolled oats, powdered 2 tbsp roasted gram flour (besan) 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste 1 green chilli, finely chopped 2 tbsp fresh coriander, chopped ½ tsp cumin powder ½ tsp coriander powder ½ tsp garam masala ½ tsp red chilli powder (optional) Salt, to taste 1 tsp lemon juice 1 tsp olive oil (for brushing)
In a bowl, mash the boiled vegetables with potato and paneer. Add oats, besan, spices, coriander, and lemon juice to the mixture and mix well.
Take equal portions of the mixture and shape them to make round or oval kababs. Press them gently between your palms to prevent the cracks while air frying.
Preheat the air fryer to 180°C for about 5 minutes. Lightly brush kababs from both sides with a little oil.
To the preheated air fryer, arrange the kababs in a single layer. Air fry these 180°C for about 12 to 15 minutes. Flip halfway so that they cook evenly.
Serve the prepared hot veg kababs with mint chutney and hung curd dip for a healthy, protein-rich snack.
