With the Indian Meteorological Department issuing a Heatwave alert and the Health Ministry advising lifestyle changes for the summer season, staying hydrated becomes important. That renders keeping hydrated even more important. Making your own hydrating drinks at home is a fun and healthy way to beat the heat and replace the fluids and salts you lose when you sweat.

Tamarind Water

Make a tart and invigorating drink by soaking tamarind pulp in water, pressing the pulp out, and then seasoning with sugar or salt to taste.

Vairayli Sharbat

Made from the essence of fennel seeds, Vairayli Sharbat provides a cooling effect and aids digestion, making it an ideal choice for hot summer days.

Shikanji

A typical Indian lemonade, Shikanji combines lemon juice, water, sugar, salt, and roasted cumin powder for a light and revitalizing drink.

Lassi

This classic yoghurt-based drink offers probiotics and calcium while quenching thirst with its creamy texture and various flavour options like sweet, salted, or fruity.

Aam Panna

No summer is complete without Aam Panna. Made from raw mangoes, Aam Panna is packed with vitamin C and electrolytes, offering a sweet and tangy taste that cools the body and prevents dehydration.
