A chikki-like salty-sweet toffee, the Christmas crack is similar to a chocolate bark in many ways. Deriving its name from its addictive flavours, these treats also make for shareable presents for loved ones.

INGREDIENTS

20-30 salty biscuits 6 tablespoons peanut butter 1 cup butter 2.5 cups dark chocolate chips ¾ cup brown sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Sprinkles, optional

STEP 1

Preheat the oven to 200°C while lining a baking sheet with some foil paper.

STEP 2

Place the salty biscuits in a single layer oven the foil while melting together the butter, sugar, peanut butter and vanilla extract.

STEP 3

Pour the mixture on top of the crackers and spread into a thin, even layer on top of which the chocolate chips will be added.

STEP 4

Bake for 5 minutes and add the sprinkles before placing it in the freezer for 1-2 hours.

STEP 5

Break into pieces and transfer to an air-tight jar for up to 1 week.
