Healthy Sattu Ladoo Recipe: Easy Summer Snack To Stay Energised

Sattu ladoo is a simple summer-specific sweet that is light, keeps you cool and full of energy on hot days. Prepared with roasted gram flour or sattu, it helps keep the body cool while providing constant energy, making it a perfect quick bite for hot days.

Ingredients

1 cup sattu ½ cup powdered jaggery ¼ cup ghee 2 tbsp chopped nuts (almonds/cashews) ½ tsp cardamom powder

Step 1

In a large bowl, take fresh sattu, ensuring it is lump-free to get a smooth texture while you shape the ladoos.

Step 2

To this, add the powdered jaggery and cardamom powder and mix everything well so the sweetness and flavour are mixed evenly.

Step 3

Warm the ghee a bit to just melt, then pour it slowly on the mixture. Mix everything with your hands so that it binds without becoming too greasy.

Step 4

Now, add chopped nuts and mix everything again, so that the small crunchy bits get spread evenly, and the ladoos will have an even texture in every bite.

Step 5

Grease your palms, take small portions of the prepared mixture and shape them into round ladoos. Adjust the ghee if required so that it binds properly.

Step 6

Once prepared, keep the ladoos to rest for some time so they firm up a bit, then store them in an airtight container and enjoy as a quick summer snack.
