Good tacos balance warm tortillas, a seasoned protein filling, and fresh toppings. Keeping the filling moist and the toppings crisp helps the tacos stay light and satisfying. They make the perfect snack or starter, as the Mexican flavours are bright and zesty, and complement Indian cuisine.
4 small corn or flour tortillas 1 cup cooked beans or sautéed vegetables ½ tsp cumin powder ½ tsp paprika or chilli powder Salt to taste 1 tbsp olive oil ½ cup fresh tomato salsa ¼ cup shredded lettuce 2 tbsp sour cream or thick yoghurt Lime wedges
Heat oil and sauté the filling with cumin, paprika, and salt.
Warm tortillas on a hot pan until soft.
Spoon filling into tortillas evenly.
Top with salsa, lettuce, and sour cream.
Serve hot with lime wedges and eat immediately.
