Moong dal salad is a healthy, protein-rich dish that is light, refreshing and easy to prepare. It is a plant-based salad with fresh herbs, veggies, and bean sprouts.
1 cup moong dal (split yellow lentils) 1 finely chopped cucumber 1 finely chopped tomato 1 finely chopped onion 1 finely chopped green chilli 2 tbsp chopped fresh coriander leaves 1 tsp lemon juice Salt to taste A pinch of chaat masala
Soak the moong dal for 30 minutes, drain and steam for 5-7 minutes until soft but not mushy and let it cool.
In a bowl, mix cucumber, tomato, onion and green chilli.
Add the cooled moong dal, salt, lemon juice, chaat masala and mix well.
Sprinkle fresh coriander leaves and serve immediately.
