Half Omelette: Street-Style Recipe You’ll Love

If you are craving a quick and flavourful bite from the streets, you will love this dish. Made with just eggs and regular spices, this dish is a perfect go-to for people who love the street-side taste but want it to be made at home. It tastes best with buttered pav.

Ingredients

1 egg 1 tbsp finely chopped onion 1 green chilli (chopped) 1 tbsp chopped coriander salt and black pepper to taste a pinch of turmeric (optional) ½ tsp oil or butter.

Step 1

Crack the egg in a bowl. Add chopped onions, chillies, coriander, salt, pepper, and turmeric. Beat well until light and fluffy.

Step 2

Heat a tawa or non-stick pan and add oil or butter. Pour the egg mixture and spread slightly.

Step 3

Cook on medium heat till the edges are crisp and the centre is just set. You can either flip it, or serve as is and let it remain crispy outside and soft inside.

Step 4

Top it with ketchup, slide it into a pav, or enjoy it straight off the tawa. This protein-rich and low-carb snack is as easy as it is delicious.
