Gujarati Methi Na Gota: Perfect Rainy Day Snack Or Chai Time

Fritters are the best snacks to pair with evening tea, especially in rainy weather. For a crispy tea-time snack, why don’t you make Gujarati-style methi na gota at home with this easy recipe?

Ingredients

1 cup besan 1/2 cup chopped methi leaves 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon red chilli powder 1/4 teaspoon cumin powder 1/4 teaspoon garam masala 1/4 teaspoon baking soda Salt to taste Water as needed Oil for frying

Step 1

Mix besan, turmeric, red chilli, cumin powder, garam masala, baking soda, and salt.

Step 2

Add in chopped methi leaves. Gradually add water to make a smooth batter.

Step 3

Heat some oil in a kadhai. Take small portions of the batter and deep fry till crispy.

Step 4

Drain the pakoras on tissue paper and serve hot with imli or green chutney.
