Khaman dhokla is a traditional Gujarati snack that can be made with rice and urad dal. If you are looking for a healthy option, you can quickly whip up besan dhokla with these 5 easy steps.
1 cup besan 1/4 cup rava 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon red chilli powder 1/4 teaspoon hing Salt to taste 1/4 cup curd 1 tablespoon oil Water as needed For tempering: 1 tablespoon oil 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds 1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds 1 green chilli A few curry leaves
Mix besan, rava, curd, water, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, hing, and salt. Let the batter rest.
Transfer the batter into a microwave-safe bowl or steamer.
Steam for about 10-15 minutes till the dhokla is fluffy. Let it come to room temperature.
Heat some oil and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves, and green chilli for tempering.
Pour the tempering over the dhokla, garnish it with curry leaves, and serve.
