Pakora Kadhi: Enjoy A Hot Meal This Weekend

Kadhi is one of the easiest and most delicious recipes you can cook this summer season. Right now, you cannot stand in the kitchen without almost fainting in North India. You need this recipe for which you won’t have to spend a lot of time hovering over the stove.

Ingredients

For Pakora ¾ cup onions ¾ cup besan ¾ tbsp corn starch 1-2 green chillies ½ tsp ajwain Oil for frying ¼ tsp red chilli powder Salt to taste ⅛ tsp baking soda 3-4 tbsp water 2 tsp coriander leaves ½ tbsp ginger

Ingredients

For Kadhi 1 cup curd ¼ cup besan 2.5 cups water 2.5 tbsp ghee/ oil 1½ tsp cumin seeds 1-2 green chillies ¼ tsp methi seeds, hing ½ tbsp ginger-garlic paste 1/2 tsp red chilli powder ½ tsp coriander powder Salt to taste Coriander leaves 1 spring of curry leaves 2-3 red chillies

Step 1

In a bowl, mix everything for pakora to prepare a thick batter without lumps.

Step 2

Deep-fry pakoras in hot oil until they are cooked and golden brown. Keep them aside.

Step 3

Heat oil in a kadhi and let methi seeds, cumin seeds, and green chillies cook.

Step 4

Meanwhile, mix curd, besan, water, and powdered spices in a bowl. Pour the blend into the kadhai.

Step 5

Stir on high heat until it comes to a boil. Add pakoras and turn down the heat.

Step 6

Temper the kadhi with hing, red chillies, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and curry leaves. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
