One constant partner with Indian snacks is dhaniya or coriander chutney. Its spicy and tangy flavours make it across Indian households. The condiment is so popular that it accompanies desi burgers and Continental sandwiches. Here is the recipe.
coriander chutney
50 grams coriander with stem Salt to taste 1 tbsp mango pickle 1.5 tbsp lemon juice 2-3 garlic cloves 1 cup palak 2-3 ice cubes 2-3 green chillies 2 tbsp water 1 tbsp olive oil
Wash and roughly chop coriander along with stems for flavour.
Wash and dice palak or spinach.
Add all the ingredients in a grinder along with garlic (optional).
Turn the mixture into a thick paste with ice cubes.
Top the chutney with lemon juice and olive oil.
Store dhaniya chutney in an airtight jar and serve with snacks.
